The Centre was founded in 2001, and exists to help the disadvantaged – orphans and disabled and street children – to make the most of their capabilities by developing their potential in diverse ways.
The purpose of the Centre is to offer support and training for the children, who currently number more than 60.
The Centre receives no government funding, and 100% of all donations go directly to programme development and services for the children.
The Centre (Ghana charity no DSW1709) is affiliated to:
•   the Ashanti Region Network of NGOs (ASHANGO);
•   the Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled, Ashanti Regional Secretariat – Kumasi; and
•   the Ghana Association of Private Voluntary Organizations in Development (GAPVOD).
